Russell Communications wins Business Leader Award

The team at Russell Communications are delighted to announced we have won Start-Up Business of the Year at the Business Leader South West Awards 2023.

Russell Communications, based in Bath and led by founder Pippa Russell, scooped the award at a ceremony held on 21 September in Bristol.

The winners of these awards were decided following a rigorous judging process by an independent panel of well-known entrepreneurs chosen for their standing in the business community. The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding business achievements, with the support of prominent professionals and advisors in the South West.

The Start-Up Business of the Year accolade celebrates organisations less than two years old which can demonstrate their success, innovative approach and how they fill a gap in their marketplace.

At Russell Communications we pride ourselves on innovation when it comes to developing bespoke communications strategies for our financial services clients. The business has grown rapidly, tripling its client base, doubling its workforce and increasing turnover by more than 85% in its first full year.

During this time, the business was also recognised by the wider industry, scooping European PR agency of the Year at the ETF Express European Awards for two years in a row.

Russell Communications supports financial services businesses in growing and maintaining their brand presence, providing communications support and managing their reputation. Dealing exclusively with business-to-business clients, a typical client could be an investment platform, ETF provider or fintech. We have international clients includes businesses based in the US, Australia and the Nordics.

What sets Russell Communications apart from its competitors is its laser-focused, proactive media stance and a deep understanding of the market in which it operates. Over the past year, the business has run a number of successful PR campaigns including providing podcasts, generating videos and print coverage, as well as marketing supporting including website design, client communications documents and social media management.
